Coastal Humane Society

The Coastal Humane Society is a private, non-profit charitable corporation founded in 1950 and incorporated in 1965. The society exists to help prevent cruelty to animals and to provide shelter care and protection for the area’s stray, abandoned and abused animals. CHS receives no federal or state funds, and local funds only through animal control fee-for-service contracts with 12 local towns. Animal control fees amount to less than 20% of their total income. All other funds must be raised through events and private sources. They serve as many as 2500 animals a year. 100% of the donation is going to be used for their animal fund.

Kootenai Humane Society

The Kootenai Humane Society is a non-profit organization funded exclusively by donations and grants. They receive numerous homeless animals every day. They shelter, feed, and provide medical care for these animals while searching for loving homes for them.

As a “no-kill” shelter, animals who are in their facility do not face a “be adopted quick or else” ultimatum, but rather are cared for until they can be placed.

They are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, the day they are to Be euthanized, from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. They do not take dogs in...they rescue only from shelters. The Ace of Hearts Foundation is in Memory of “Ace,” a wonderful American Bull dog who was rescued from death, and touched the lives of many! (Especially founder Kari Whitman!) They rescue all breeds...and don't discriminated against any.

Eliada Foundation Inc.

Founded in 1903, Eliada homes, Inc. is a non-profit agency serving the children and families of Western North Carolina.

Originally a refuge for women and children and later maintained as an orphanage, Eliada’s services now include Residential and Day Treatment for high risk children and adolescents; Child Development Center services, including Day Care, Summer Camp and School Age Care; Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care. This donation is going towards their Foster Care Program.

The goal of wildlife rehabilitation is to provide professional care to sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals so they can ultimately be returned to their natural habitats. Wildlife rehabilitation is not an attempt to turn wild animals into pets. Patients are held in captivity only until they are able to live independently in the wild. Fear of humans is a necessary survival trait for wild animals and every effort is made to minimize human contact and prevent the taming of rehabilitation patients. often this is an elaborte and time-consuming process.
